Thulit is a pink-red Zoisit specialty from Norway. The shade is suitable for skin illustration, especially combinded with Kremer White (#46360). Very lightfast and stable pigment.
Thulite is finely 80 μ sieved. Despite the fine grind, the pigment has a graininess and hardness that make it difficult to use in aqueous techniques such as watercolor and tempera. In acrylic, on the other hand, thulite can be processed excellently. The pigment is also resistant enough for lime and silicate techniques. We do not recommend this pigment for oil, as its hardness makes it difficult to work with and it dries poorly.
