Pure plant black from Germany.
Compared to the animal char products, vine black has a dark anthracite hue and tends to have a slight blue tint when blended with white. Obtained by the dry distillation of plant waste (e.g. pomace, bark, chestnut, etc.). Vine black consists of carbon, insoluble carbon compounds and ashes.
Vine black can be mixed with oil varnish, size solution or spirit varnish.
Available in 100g, 500g and 1kg sizes. Can be special ordered in 10kg and 25kg sizes - please contact us for pricing.
